What Are We Looking For in a Brazilian Coffee Roast?

Brazil is the world’s largest coffee producer — and roasting its beans is both an art and a science. Here’s what we chase in every roast:

🍫 Flavor — We look for that signature full body, low acidity, and intense sweetness with notes of caramel, chocolate, and toasted almond. 

🔥 The Roast Level — Medium-dark roasts are where Brazilian beans truly shine, showcasing rich chocolate and nutty characteristics.  But every level tells a different story.

⚡ First Crack Control — Knowing when to react to the first crack and pull back on the energy is the true finesse move with Brazilian coffees. Slow and steady wins the race. 

🌡️ Heat Management — Brazilian beans have lower density, which makes heat control critical — lower heat for longer time ensures a balanced roast. 

🌍 Origin Matters — Brazil is incredibly diverse. From the classic chocolate and nut notes of Minas Gerais to the fruity, floral profiles of high-altitude Caparaó — no two lots are the same.
