For those new to it — xibing (喜饼) is a traditional Chinese wedding custom, where the couple shares beautifully crafted pastries with family and friends as a symbol of gratitude, joy, and the beginning of a sweet new chapter together. Each box is created more than just baked treats — it’s a story.

Someone asked me, “Behind every box of siew bao is …”

From baking to packing, replying messages to deliveries — every step is done with care and heart.

Every collection is more than a handover — it’s a smile, a thank you, and a chance to listen and grow through your feedback.

Along the way, there are little hiccups — an imperfect batch, an over-excited (exploding 😅) bao, or the occasional mistake. Thank you for your patience and understanding, it truly means so much.

This may be a one-woman journey, (& sometimes, Dad on the driver’s seat) but it carries a big dream — to share warmth and homemade goodness in every bite.

Grateful for all new and loyal customers.

Hi everyone, just a small update this week.

Unfortunately we’ll be pausing our regular Week 3 Northern suburbs route this time as there weren’t enough orders to make the long drive viable. Thank you so much to those who placed orders and continue supporting us — truly appreciate it.

Instead, ONE DAY ONLY 21st March, Saturday. *see attachment* If you’re nearby and would still like some siew baos or kuih,I’d love to see you there. Thank you again for your understanding and support.

This Saturday I’ll be making the hour road trip across to Melbourne’s west again, bringing our freshly made siew baos to share with the community.

We visit every 2nd Saturday of the month, and while it’s been a little quiet lately, so sometimes I wonder if the long trip is economically sustainable. I still love the idea of sharing something handmade with the western suburbs.

If you’re around the western suburbs, come say hello and support small local baking. It truly means a lot. 🥟❤️
