A day in the life of a cake makers nervous system 😂

No one warns you that being a cake maker is actually 50% decorating and 50% emotional resilience 😅

I think everyone can agree on number 5!

1. Out of all cakes I forgot to photograph my daughter’s birthday cake! But when in a rush I often forget and nothing makes me sadder, I love looking back on all my creations.

2. You know I’ve done this more than once 🫣😬

3. Nothing against the fellas, but cakers pls tell me you know the stress of handing over your work and digging deep to find every ounce of trust in them to get it from A to B safely?! 🥴

4. This one is a hard no from me - no I cannot recreate a computer generated image (nor do I want to try 😑 soz)

Moving slower than I’m used to, but somehow still don’t have enough hours in the day 😅

I’ve produced so many paw patrol cakes in my caking life that these days the creative juices freeze in my brain when I see the theme come up on an enquiry 😅

One of my favourite things?
Being trusted with a theme instead of a template.

“Under the sea… but make it girly and sparkly with a mermaid feel.”

That’s when I get to build something from scratch, layering colour, texture and movement until it feels like it belongs to the person it’s for 🫶🏼

I think this one has main character energy. 💫
