For context, the average recommended daily intake of iron is around 8mg for men and 18mg for women of childbearing age.
Iron plays an important role in helping your body carry oxygen, maintain energy levels, and support overall wellbeing. Unlike many plant-based sources, the iron found in beef is haem iron, which is naturally easier for your body to absorb.
Of course, the real reason we love biltong is the flavour π, but it's nice to know that your favourite snack can also be a natural source of protein and iron.
