Every bowl has a story. This is ours. ❤️🍜

We’re Kien & Hien - husband and wife, and the founders of Madame Mai.

Madame Mai wasn’t created in a boardroom. It began during COVID, when like so many others, we found ourselves missing the comfort of home in Vietnam.

We searched for authentic Vietnamese noodle soups that were quick, nourishing and made with real ingredients… but we couldn’t find anything that truly tasted like home.

That’s when we realised there was a gap.

So we decided to create the kind of food we wanted our own family to eat.

At the heart of Madame Mai is a recipe that’s been passed down through generations. Kien learnt to cook from his mum, whose love, patience and family recipes inspired the flavours you’ll find in every bowl today.

This brand is our way of honouring where we came from, preserving our family’s traditions, and sharing a little piece of Vietnam with yours.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. Building a business from the ground up has come with plenty of challenges, sacrifices and uncertainty.

But every obstacle has reminded us why we started.

From our family to yours - thank you for being part of our story. ❤️

Our founders Kien & Hien went head-to-head in a rapid-fire challenge and somehow managed to pick the opposite answer almost every single time. 😂

From prepping fresh ingredients, to simmering our broths for 20+ hours, to packing every bowl with care - this is the part you don’t usually get to see.

And honestly?

Because for us, it was never about making “just another frozen meal”.
