We’re excited to be the first to pour this amazing Chardonnay in-Keg. e’Stellar Estate is a new winery that brings together two of the Yarra Valley’s very iconic vineyards- the former Dixon’s Creek Estate and Mandala Vineyards (formerly Henkell). Both were planted in the 1980’s, and have produced gold-medal winning wines. It’s one of the hardest sites to farm because it runs from the floodplains of Dixons Creek up into steep, rocky hills. this abrupt shift in elevation that gives north, south, east, and west-facing blocks within the one estate.
Different varieties have been matched to the soils and orientation of each block. Chardonnay is grown on the flats, where the fertile alluvial soils and protection from the elements suit its temperament. The wines are made by Martin Siebert- who has worked in France and across some iconic Yarra Valley vineyards like Yarra Yering and Tokar Estate. We have them coming in on the 29th to pour some wines, so make sure you lock in Saturday for a tasting at Glou!
