Sadly another home invasion in Victoria this time has seen a 60-year-old man stabbed, bashed with a hammer and threatened to be shot all while being filmed.
Home should be a safe haven but Labor’s soft-on-gang-violence approach has resulted in Victoria becoming a lawless state.
If any of the perpetrators are found to be on a visa they must be deported.
If a person commits a serious criminal offence on a visa while in Australia, they should be deported.
We call this a character test. Right now, foreign born criminals who commit serious crimes can only be deported only if they serve 12 months in jail, we believe as Liberals that this should be based on the crime not the time served. Meaning those who commit serious crimes such as home invasions, car jackings and serious assault should face deportation.
You might be shocked to know that when the Liberals tried to strengthen the character test in government the Labor Party, The Greens, “independents” and Jacqui Lambie voted against it!
