WHEN FOOD BECOMES PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER. 🎀

Today’s catering felt a little different.

FoodWithATwist had the privilege of creating this pink-themed breakfast spread for a beautiful Pink Ribbon fundraiser — bringing people together over good food while supporting a cause that touches so many lives.

From savoury croissants and mini chicken cheese sliders to pink egg sandwiches, strawberry yoghurt cups, cupcakes and fresh fruit, every little detail was created to carry the pink theme through the table.

But today wasn’t really just about the food.

It was about the conversations around the table, the people who came together, the stories behind the cause, and being able to use what we do at FoodWithATwist to support something meaningful.

These are the events that remind me why our tagline has always meant so much to us:

Having **10–20+ guests** over this Diwali? We’ve created something especially for those smaller celebrations where you want beautiful food, plenty of variety and **no catering setup required**.

Introducing our **FoodWithATwist Diwali Grazing Boxes** — freshly prepared, beautifully packed and ready to open, place on your table and share.

Choose your favourites from **Pani Puri, Mini Vada Pav, Chatori Katori Chaat, Korean Paneer Bao, Tandoori Paneer Wrap Bites, Tandoori Chilli Paneer Puffs, Indian-Fusion Thai Curry & Rice, Exotic Vegetable Rice & Raita** and our festive desserts.

THIS WEEK AT FOODWITHATWIST

Some weeks really make you stop and realise how many different places food can take you.

This week started with catering for Westbourne Grammar School, creating fresh, lighter options around their healthy workshop — a beautiful reminder that catering can be delicious, thoughtful and nourishing at the same time.

Then came a completely different kind of moment on Friday — seeing FoodWithATwist on the big screen at the Wyndham Business Awards 30th Anniversary, recognised as a finalist for Excellence in Retail, Tourism & Hospitality.

And today, we finished the week doing what we love most — creating a beautiful Disney Princess & Marvel birthday celebration for Sammy, complete with themed food, styling, a chocolate fountain and live tea and coffee service.

Three completely different experiences.
A school workshop.
A business awards night.
A beautiful family celebration.
But they all represent what FoodWithATwist has slowly grown into.

We get to create food for organisations, communities and families. We get to be part of important conversations, business milestones and some of life's happiest celebrations.

And somewhere between the shopping, prep, cooking, packing, loading, setting up and cleaning down, there are moments that remind me why I keep doing this.

This week was definitely one of them.
Grateful for every table we're invited to, every opportunity that comes our way and every person who continues to trust FoodWithATwist.

A moment we’ll remember. ❤️

Tonight, seeing FoodWithATwist on the big screen at the Wyndham Business Awards 2026 was one of those moments that made us stop and realise just how far we’ve come.

To be recognised as a Finalist for Excellence in Retail, Tourism & Hospitality amongst some incredible Wyndham businesses is something we are truly proud of.

What started with a love for food, an idea and the courage to create something different has grown into so much more than we imagined.

Behind this recognition are countless early mornings, late nights, new ideas, challenges, celebrations, incredible events and, most importantly, the trust of every client who has chosen FoodWithATwist.

From private celebrations to corporate and community events, every opportunity has helped shape the business we are building today.

Seeing our name up there tonight reminded us that every small step counts.

We walked into tonight already feeling like winners — because being recognised for the work we love doing is a milestone worth celebrating. ❤️

Nope. What you see on our page is our own food, our own setups and our own work.
Because food shouldn’t only look amazing in a photo — it needs to taste amazing when it reaches your guests too.

2. Is the menu fixed or can you create something around our event?
At FoodWithATwist, we don’t believe every celebration needs the same menu. We work around your event, your guests, your dietary needs and the experience you want to create.

3. Can you cater for different dietary requirements?
Vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Jain, vegan, gluten-free, halal or no onion/garlic — tell us what your guests need and we’ll help you build the right menu.

4. What exactly is included in the quote?

“It took us straight back to Mumbai.” ❤️

Out of everything on the table, hearing this about our Pani Puri really stayed with me.
Because this is exactly what I want FoodWithATwist to be.

Yes, we love beautiful presentation.�Yes, we love taking classics and giving them our modern twist.

But the soul and flavour of the original dish should never get lost.

So when our guests said the Pani Puri took them straight back to the streets of Mumbai… that meant something.
Because sometimes food doesn’t just taste good.

It takes you somewhere. It brings back a memory.

And that’s the kind of food we want to create.

A little Sunday reflection…..

Another busy week behind us… and another reminder of why I started FoodWithATwist.
Yesterday, while catering a beautiful We Can Bearly Wait celebration, one of the guests tried our Paneer Wrap.

He didn’t know what it was called. 😄
He just came back to tell us it was his favourite thing on the table.

His second favourite? Our Butter Chicken Vol-au-Vent — our little FoodWithATwist take on the classic Butter Chicken & Naan combination.

It might sound like a small moment, but these are the moments I remember.
Because when I started FoodWithATwist, the idea was never just to cook Indian food.

I wanted to take the flavours we grew up loving, present them differently, introduce them to people who may never have tried them before, and still have that first bite feel familiar and comforting.

And yesterday was exactly that.
Then, at the end of the event, our beautiful clients Anil & Mel even gave gifts to me and my team from their baby shower. 🥹

We went there to cater for their guests, but they made us feel like guests too.

That meant more than they probably realise.
Another weekend of cooking, packing, loading, setting up, serving and cleaning… but moments like these make the long hours worth it.

Thank you to everyone who continues to trust this little business of mine.

This morning, our FoodWithATwist grazing boxes made their way to Essendon Keilor College, prepared for students and guests coming together for their CHASE Showcase.

A simple spread, but thoughtfully created — mini sliders, sandwiches & wraps, with vegetarian, egg and non-vegetarian selections, beautifully packed and ready to enjoy.

We love catering for schools, workplaces and community events because food is never just about what’s on the table.

It’s about bringing people together, creating conversations and making everyone feel welcome. ❤️

We walked in as finalists… and walked out as WINNERS. 🏆❤️

Last night was one of those moments I’ll remember for a very long time.

FoodWithATwist started from a home kitchen with one simple belief — that soulful food, creativity and genuine care could create something special.

What started small has grown into catering for corporate organisations, councils, community events, weddings and celebrations across Melbourne.

There have been long days, late nights, risks, mistakes, lessons, moments of doubt… and so many moments that reminded me why I started.

And last night, hearing FoodWithATwist announced as the 2026 HOME ENTERPRISE OF THE YEAR felt incredibly special. 🥹❤️

This award belongs to more than just me.

To Jayesh and my family, who see everything that happens behind the scenes…
