Some things at Cruden Farm carry a story that spans generations. 🌹
30 years ago, Dame Elisabeth travelled to England with Michael Morrison, where they came across a beautiful style of rose support in an English garden. They took a photograph, brought the idea home to Cruden Farm, and a set of these distinctive supports was recreated here.
Now, almost three decades later, it was time to bring them back to life.
Andrew Gobble, Cruden Farm’s Farm Manager of almost 40 years, has once again recreated the original design, carefully replicating the supports in turpentine timber — just as they were all those years ago.
Last week, the new supports were placed back into the garden, ready to become part of its story for years to come.
It’s these little details, the craftsmanship and the stories behind them, that make Cruden Farm so special.
