Mum and Dad have arrived! Up at sunrise to head to the morning market in Phuket. I’m thinking of attempting to edit this into a long form situation and chuck it on YT. What do we all think? I’m thinking lots of people know of Phuket, but not many have seen the side of Phuket that my family love and visit. Also my parents are just the best 🥹

A bit cheesy on the outside… but inside I’m honestly just pinching myself and a little shy to meet you all.

Event no. 17 of the year and really it’s only the start of this little tour. Taking my lil baby (cookbook 🤭) with me as I go along.

These moments never feel normal to me … being able to travel, cook, and create spaces where complete strangers sit down and, somehow, leave a little more connected than when they arrived.

That’s always the part that matters most.
Not just the food but what happens around it. Even in those slightly uncomfortable first moments, when no one really knows each other yet… and then something shifts.

Really grateful to be doing this with , and to everyone who showed up open, curious, and willing to feel something.

Still doesn’t feel real, if I’m honest. But forever grateful.

Curry puffs, one of my all-time favourite snacks.

Fry them or oven bake them, totally up to you. I love prepping a big batch and freezing them for the next dinner party.

Curry puffs are great because they’re basically a vessel for leftovers. I usually don’t even put mince in mine, and I’ve never used mushrooms before 😅 — but I had both that desperately needed using up. Plus, after having leftover pastry from the sausage rolls, I figured I might as well turn it into curry puffs too.

Bunnings snag, levelled up.

Never thought I’d make a video about a Bunnings snag — because honestly, it’s perfect as is.

But if you’re trying to feed your Asian parents a snag, there has to be a little twist… and that’s how this one ended up in the book.

Also, I had leftover Sai Oua sausage mixture, so why not 🤭

Perfect for your summer BBQ (unless you’re in Melbourne 🤭).

And don’t judge — I loveeeee onions and mustard 😂
