How to Repair A Crack In Drywall ✨ I started off by cutting the crack out. I pre-filled using CGC confill mixed with water and taped it with Fibafuse. I coated the patch with all purpose mud and used Richard knives throughout each step. This patch will be coated once more before sanding and painting. How To Trowel First Coat Corner Bead✨ I started off installing the Trim-Tex fast edge with taping mud. This bead is fantastic because it uses much less mud to finish than their competition, saving time and money. I coat my bead work three times total. The first two coats are done with all purpose drywall mud and I do my final skim coat with finishing mud. After you place your mud, be sure to feather your edges. This step is extremely important. How to feather: Place your trowel or knife slightly outside your mud line and take just the edge off by using the edge of your tool. Trowel and knife work comes down to where and when you put pressure down. Once you nail down this technique, your sanding time is drastically cut down. Drywall Taping By Hand✨ Tips👇🏼 •Tape with either taping mud or all purpose •Never use finish mud to tape •Add water for smooth workable mud •Pre-fill gabs to avoid air in your tapes •Avoid over wiping tapes (will cause your tape to bubble) •Tape holders are an inexpensive & handy purchase •I use a 5” or 6” knife to tape •Pull your tape back on your knife for a clean cut
