After judging this year’s Picasso Cows entries, Farmer Ambassadors Rachel Nicholson and Narelle Zanker shared five things the students taught them about creativity, curiosity and connecting with dairy farming.

The next herd of Picasso Cows is coming to life! 🐄🎨

Students taking part in the Term 3 program have been busy making butter, taste testing dairy products, researching sustainable farming and meeting dairy farmers and cows. Some schools have even created 3D-printed mini cows and included their Picasso Cow in a Book Week parade!

Across the ACT, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, students are learning about the journey from farm to plate, or as students at Burwood East Primary School put it, “from cow to cup”, and the role dairy foods play in a healthy diet.

We can’t wait to see the finished cows!
