Fran and Jo are mums to five children between them (Jo has twins) and are passionate about creating yummy, nutritious and most importantly delicious snacks for the whole family. We believe that good food should taste great and be full of beautiful natural ingredients that work with your body, not against it. We see food as nature’s ultimate medicine. In a world of iPhone cameras and instant edits, there is something quietly powerful about a disposable one. You cannot scroll back and delete the imperfect shots. You cannot filter out the mess, you press the button, and you trust the moment is worth keeping ❤️
That felt like the right metaphor for motherhood. You cannot redo the hard days, you cannot edit out the tears or the moments where you felt completely lost. And somehow, looking back, every single one of those moments is worth keeping. We wanted our community to capture motherhood as it actually is. Raw, real and always worth holding onto 🥺

We gave 10 mums a disposable camera. Here’s what we got back 📸 Not the highlight reel, not the perfectly styled flat lay of a sleeping newborn next to a steaming cup of tea that somehow never went cold. The real version, the side lying feed at 2am. The three outfit changes before 8am. The cold coffee and the joy that lives right alongside the exhaustion.

At Franjos, we have always believed the best way to support mothers is to actually see them. Not the version of motherhood that gets shared on Instagram, but the whole, beautiful, chaotic, tender truth of it.

So we did something a little different - we gave 10 Australian mums a disposable camera each and asked them to document a week of their motherhood. Welcome to this mini series ❤️
