Tried a recipe I saw online this morning, with a few little adjustments of my own.
The idea was simple: flatten a slice of white bread (I used raisin toast), wrap it around a banana, slice it into pieces, dip in egg and pan fry.
In theory: quick, easy and aesthetically pleasing.
In reality… not quite what I had pictured.
They definitely didn’t come out looking like the ones on the internet, and I’m not entirely convinced I’d describe them as an “easy and quick recipe” either.
BUT — I’m glad I tried something different and made an attempt to get us out of our current blueberry and porridge breakfast slump. And most importantly, she ate three pieces, so I’m counting that as a win.
A good reminder that feeding little ones doesn’t always have to look perfect. Sometimes you try something new, it’s a bit fiddly, it looks nothing like the inspiration photo… and they eat it anyway.
