Air Seeder Operator

An opportunity for a young farmer to experience and work for a progressive and large scale broadacre cropping and livestock enterprise based in Australia.

The company has two locations in both Millicent, South Australia and Narromine, New South Wales. Both properties are very diverse and farming practises differ in each location which will ad to the learnings and different experiences whilst working here.

The Millicent aggregation consists of 3000ha of crop in the high rainfall zone of Southern Australia. Crops grown are canola, wheat, broad beans, small seeds and hay. This is done in conjunction with a 14500 head composite sheep breeding flock. .

The role based at Millicent SA would enable the successful applicant the chance to experience a full season harvest across both Aggregations starting with Seeding in April.

The successful applicant would posses a good attitude, willingness to learn and a passion for agriculture. They are required to be punctual, well mannered, work in an unsupervised capacity at times, have attention to detail, reporting to the manager on a regular basis. A long term role would be available for the successful applicant should they exemplify these traits.

The different roles:
-tillage
-seeding
-spreading
-combine harvesting
-Windrowing
-chaserbin driving
-air seeding
-truck driving
-hay duties such as mowing, raking, baling, stacking etc
-general farm work and maintenance
-various livestock work

All machinery is modern and uses the latest in gps technology. The fleet is all modern John Deere. Good Accomodation and meals are supplied during the busy periods.

The Bell Group are involved in its nearby communities with opportunities to socialise outside of work at local sporting clubs and with neighbouring farmers at different events. This is an experience of a lifetime for those with the right attitude and willingness to take on the challenge.
