We had a lovely surprise today when one of our wedding customers from last year popped in to to say hello and pick up a little bunch of flowers that now hold great sentimental value.

One of those little perks of using seasonal flowers- when your wedding flowers come back in bloom all those wonderful memories come flooding back 🌷

We are very excited to share our newest development, a shop in Milton! Flowers by Kiruna farm is a one stop shop for all things flowers and local: seeds, books on growing and floristry, garden journals and stationary to record all your garden notes, hand crafted wooden products, cards featuring prints by local artists, and of course flowers from our farm.

We are still in the process of stocking the shelves but I'll now be working out of the shop so will have the doors open while I'm there. Pop in to say hello and have a look around. And follow our new dedicated shop page to see what's new as we fill the shelves!

A wise woman (or specifically this wise woman) once told me to not overthink your posts and just get them up there. So here goes...

We hosted something very special last week that I can't wait to share with you. But before I do, a moment of appreciation for all of the people and hard work involved. We had so much fun and I appreciate all the talent and joy each person brought to the day!

BTS getting a bed back into production after 8 months under w**d mat

This was a big one as the grass had started to grow through the w**d mat 😵‍💫 (also the reason we don't plant into w**d mat here on the farm).

We brought out the muscles removing the grass, edging, lifting and aerating with the garden fork and finally using the rake to make a lovely soft and even surface for our plugs.

It's been pretty mild on the farm so far this winter so we're making the most of it. Can't wait to see these blooming in spring!

Mother's Day week!

For so late in the season it's been a big one! We had a week full of harvesting, sending buckets of flowers off to .native.girl & for Mother's Day bouquets.

Our attention then turned to the wedding of Karla & Ben at .merribee - providing buckets of flowers for DIY bouquets & venue decoration, along with preparing two large urn arrangements for the ceremony. I can't wait to see how it all came together on the day!

Saturday saw our flowers gracing the top of a special (& I'm guessing delicious) birthday cake. & Sunday a few lucky mums received surprise flowers today.

I hope all the mums and mother figures enjoyed their celebrations today... or like me, will take a moment on another day to do something special.
