We had an early arrival last night! 22 days early to be exact!

Say hello to our first calf from our resident bull Green Acer Fame Chaser. Combine that with our best performing cow purchased from JAD Speckle Park in 2019 and we should have a meat production machine!!

It feels like all we’ve done for the past month is smile into a camera! 📸😂

We’ve been so lucky to have two wonderful photographers floating around the farm lately.

Keely from Wild Light Photography did an incredible job capturing our two Latrobe Catchment Landcare Network planting days 🌱

And then, to top it all off, Nicky Cawood of Everyday Nicky fame has been out capturing some beautiful farm and meat photos to give our website and socials a little reinvigoration. 🥩🌿

With the beautiful weather we thought we'd sow some oats over the top of our permanent pastures coming into spring.
The idea is to follow the cows with the seed drill making each sowing roughly 10-15 days apart, as spring fires up we'll have each paddock maturing as the cows come back around, they'll be pumping as much milk into their calves as they can and the calves will be getting into the green stuff too.
As spring dries off we'll wean the calves and send them over to our Mount Eccles block to fatten up for our next beef boxes!
