100% Sangiovese from a single hectare — Vigna del Casino — planted in 2009 on iron-rich galestro, certified organic, yields roughly half the Chianti Classico average. Clones VCR5 & VCR105 were chosen to suit the site and deliver very low yields. Aged 12 months in 2000L botti, then 12 months in barrique.

Made from Chiavennasca AKA Nebbiolo they are very different from the wines of Barolo & Barbaresco.
