Montville Coffee

Montville Coffee Our story is two decades strong, established on a strong foundation of environmental innovation and fair relationships. We believe in the power of choice.

We provide a range of award-winning specialty coffee that is not only delicious but Certified Organic and Fairtrade. We are Montville Coffee, a group of leaders, storytellers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and kindred spirits. Collectively, we believe in the power of humanity. As a Social Enterprise, we are conscious of how our actions leave a trace; impacting our customers, our producers and the env

ironment. Since establishing ourselves as the first Fairtrade and Organic Coffee Roasters in Queensland, our awareness of environmental and social issues has driven us to build a business that celebrates ethically and sustainably sourced and produced goods. Today our coffee roasting business is evolving in response to the added complexities of the changing climate, and the world’s waste problem. As we continuously educate ourselves, we make decisions that are steeped in sustainability and fairness. Choice to make better decisions. We felt the need to provide a range of coffee that is not only Certified Organic and Fairtrade but also award-winning specialty coffee. And so we embarked on this journey that has become our story. Not all coffee is created equal. At Origin our coffee is hand-picked, and all our beans are specialty graded. This means you are only getting the highest quality beans. We believe that when we make good, sustainable decisions, we don’t need to sacrifice quality.

On International Women’s Day we take a moment to appreciate the many hands that carefully pick each ripe cherry and bring every harvest to life.

For many years, Montville Coffee has proudly offered Peru Café Femenino — celebrating women producers whose dedication strengthens coffee growing families and communities.

Today we give thanks to those Femenino's and all the women coffee producers around the world, along with the women who contribute so meaningfully to our endeavors at the roastery each week, as we uphold these values of equality, sustainability, and creating memorable coffee experiences.

To celebrate International Coffee Day (1 October), we’re proud to unveil our first-ever small batch release – a coffee that’s stolen our roaster’s heart: Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Cherbenta Gr 1.

✨ Tasting Notes
Citrusy Brightness: Orange peel with ripe cherries.
Luscious Sweetness: Rich caramel, and toffee.
Elegant Finish: Floral undertones that linger long after every sip.

🚚 Fresh, Small-Batch Exclusivity
This is a limited release – small batch roasted and shipped straight from our roastery to your door. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

🌿 A Coffee Lover’s Dream
Grown at 1900–2200m in Southern Ethiopia, the Cherbenta is nurtured by heirloom varieties and the region’s unique high-elevation climate. The natural process
– where cherries are dried with their pulp intact – produces a complexity that challenges and delights in equal measure.

🔥 Roasted with Purpose
Its Grade 1 classification and perfectly dense beans roast like a dream – every
small batch has been crafted to unlock the Cherbenta’s dynamic personality.
Behind every cup is the Cherbenta Cooperative, part of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperatives Union (YCFCU). Their commitment to Fairtrade, Organic farming, and sustainability mirrors our values at Montville Coffee.

☕ Be Part of the Journey
Celebrate International Coffee Day this October with a coffee that embodies artistry, integrity, and adventure. Don’t miss your chance to taste why the Cherbenta stands out among the world’s great coffees.
