Dalwhinnie Wines Dalwhinnie is an iconic, family owned vineyard near the township of Moonambel in the Pyrenees Region

Dalwhinnie is an iconic, family owned and operated vineyard located near the township of Moonambel in the heart of the Pyrenees Region of Western Victoria, Australia. A producer of classic, elegant and complex table wines, Dalwhinnie specialises in the varietals of Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. After four decades of growing grapes, the 16 hectare vineyard is still producing extraordin

ary wines with great cellaring potential. At 400 metres above sea-level Dalwhinnie is the highest and most remote of the Pyrenees district vineyards. Surrounded and sheltered by the highest range, this unique bowl of vines is a world unto itself, located in a naturally undulating trough which falls away from the hills, forming an amphitheatre nestled into the ranges.

We are honoured to be the Official Wine Partner of the 2025 Ballarat International Foto Biennale, celebrating LIFEFORCE – the spirit of endurance, creativity and connection. For the duration of the exhibition, our Pyrenees Cellar Door has been transformed into a pop-up gallery, showcasing Mirror Mirror by acclaimed artist Louise Gay until Friday 19 October.

To mark the occasion, we invite you to join us on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September for a weekend where art, wine and music meet. Enjoy wood-fired pizzas by Playing With Fire, live performances by Pickles The Band, panoramic vineyard views and curated wine experiences in the heart of the Pyrenees.

Come celebrate with us at 448 Taltarni Road, Moonambel, and raise a glass to art in all its forms.

We’re thrilled to present the annual release of our prestigious Moonambel and Single Vineyard wines – a collection that speaks to the enduring legacy and unique terroir of Dalwhinnie. This release includes our 2021 Pinnacle Shiraz, 2021 Moonambel Shiraz, 2021 Moonambel Cabernet Sauvignon, 2022 Moonambel Chardonnay and 2023 LDR Shiraz.

As Chief Winemaker Julian Langworthy says: “Dalwhinnie is a site that just makes sense. The majesty of the views, the steep nature of the amphitheatre, mineral- and rock-laden soils – it just feels like a place that should make amazing wine… and it does. To carry forward the legacy of what I see as a peerless Victorian Shiraz site is a great honour – and an even bigger thrill.”
