For any of our locals looking for something fun to do the September long weekend, check out our friends over at Bike It To Ballidu Gravel.

Bouncy castle, samurai obstacle course, face painting, food stalls and so much more on offer - it sounds like it'll be a wonderful Sunday family day out!

3 weeks to go! ⏰🚲

Ballidu, we're getting close. In three weeks the whole town comes alive with riders, families, mud pits, mates and mayhem, and we cannot wait.

Haven't registered yet? Now's the time. Whether you're eyeing off the 12km fondo with the kids or lining up for Wongan Thrills, there's a spot with your name on it.

📌 Don't forget:
✅ Locals ride at a discount
✅ Teams for the 12km relay need to be in before 6 September
✅ Every rider 16 and under goes in the draw to win a $450 Trek Cycle voucher

No lycra required. Just three weeks of anticipation and a Sunday to clear.

Seeing history in physical form is always such a pinch me moment!

To get into the spirit of the 115th Moora Show on Saturday, 19th September, we asked the Moora Historical Society if they had anything to show from over the years, and Kaye did not disappoint.

Throughout bush fires, floods, war, depression and more, the community and families of Moora & the surrounds have shown grit, determination and so much heart to ensure that traditions such as the Moora Show stays in the forefront of everyone's mind.

There have been some amazing treasures uncovered, and we highly recommend heading over to the Moora Historical Society Museum on a Sunday to check it all out; and ask the team about some stories they have to share.

You can also read the article we wrote to celebrate the 115th show in our September Shire of Moora News magazine:

We are very proud to present 'Piyalbajarri' (‘Yarns’), TONIGHT in Moora!

It shares the remarkable life and songs of Peter Salmon, a 92-year-old Thiinma Elder, stockman and songwriter. Performed in Thiinma and English with Peter’s long-time collaborator, musician and linguist Rosie Sitorus, the show blends humour, resilience and music, inviting audiences to take a peek into the living history of pre-colonial Australia.

This is a once in a lifetime kind of event to attend, and you can do so by grabbing a ticket at the link below and heading over to our friends at Gardiner Street Arts Collective at 6pm.
