After strong production numbers through the first half of 2026, additional cattle supply has moved through the market, which has helped ease pricing on key cuts. Constrained lamb and sheep livestock supply has continued to place upward pressure on the market, with pricing indicators sitting at or near record levels. Pork pricing has remained variable in recent months, consistent with the pattern seen through the first half of 2026. Chicken pricing has remained elevated, although recent data points to some downward pressure as pricing reaches a peak and demand stabilises.
