Prawns and Veges masak merah is a Malay traditional dish. This literally means "cooked-red" in English. Normally it is a casserole of chicken pieces in dried chillies sambal. I used king prawns cutlets instead. Why- I am lazy and time poor !
It is often paired with nasi tomato - rice cooked with tomato sauce or paste, milk, dried spices, and garlic, onions and ginger. I don’t want carbs so I paired with roasted pumpkin and some golden potatoes!

I used to love ayam masak merah from my high school.Spicy and fragrant. Paired with half boiled egg and coconut rice !!
