🌱 The Moruya Seed Library is fully stocked🌱

Spring is here, and the Moruya Seed Library is ready to go! 🌻

Bell, Bella, Deb, Allana and Alex spent the morning at RfR bagging up seeds and getting the library stocked and ready for all your spring plantings.

A huge thank you to Eurobodalla Shire Council for supporting the Moruya Seed Library and helping us keep local seed sharing, saving and growing alive in our community. 🌿

🌱 Want to get involved? Keep an eye out for our seasonal Seed Saving Circles, where we’ll share knowledge, swap seeds and learn more about saving seed from our own gardens.

Happy spring growing! 🌻💚

🌿 Farewell to some very special SAGE committee members 🌿

As we farewell four wonderful members of the SAGE committee, we want to take a moment to celebrate the experience, energy, generosity and passion they have each brought to SAGE over the past several years.

Sandra — our go-to for catering, events and education. Sandra has helped bring so many SAGE gatherings to life, always with generosity, care and plenty of good food! Her contribution to our events and educational programs has been invaluable. (Don't worry everyone, Sandra will still be running the education and events at SAGE!)

Cath — past President, communications guru and a driving force behind many of our events. Cath has given so much of her time, knowledge and enthusiasm to SAGE, helping shape the organisation and strengthen our connection with the community.

Susan — our wonderful Secretary, keeping the wheels turning and the committee organised. Susan has generously given her time and experience to SAGE and has been an important part of keeping everything ticking along behind the scenes.

Mark — President, a key part of establishing Stepping Stone Farm and one of the legendary Old Duffers working crew. Mark has brought his practical know-how, experience and willingness to get stuck in wherever needed — both on the committee and behind the scenes.

Brendan — a dedicated committee member who was always there when SAGE needed him. From helping with the website to simply showing up and getting things done, Brendan has been a reliable and valued part of the SAGE team. That quiet, consistent contribution has meant a lot.

Together, Sandra, Cath, Susan, Mark and Brendan have brought an incredible depth of experience, knowledge and commitment to SAGE. Their contributions have helped shape the organisation and the community around it in so many ways.

Thank you for everything you have given to SAGE — your time, your ideas, your hard work, your knowledge and your willingness to pitch in. 🌱

We’ll miss having you around the committee table, but we know this is simply goodbye to the meetings, rather than goodbye to SAGE!

Thank you Sandra, Cath, Mark, Susan and Brendan. 💚

Roll-up, roll-up: gardeners, foodies, and produce lovers.

The SAGE Food and Knowledge Share is on again this Sunday 30 August at 10am, at Riverside Park.

This month in addition to sharing fresh backyard produce and chatting about seedlings, we'll be giving away silverbeet seedlings that we started growing in June. As always, we'd love everyone to come along, even if you're not yet a gardener. Newbies are especially welcome this month so we can give you a seedling of your own to take home!

Please bring a blanket or camp chair for your comfort. If it is raining we will move undercover to SAGE Garden at 110 Queen St in Moruya. Everyone is welcome, and you do not need to bring anything. People who can bring items to share can contribute vegetables, fruits, eggs, seedlings/seeds, cookbooks, gardening books, tools, preserves and plants.

And if you got the seed starting pack two months back, don't forget to bring your silverbeet seedling too and ideally a friend to gift it to.

Ps. Bel is conversation host this month so come along and share your 'almost spring' inspiration.

Regards, Julie, Nina and Bel.
