What an incredible morning yesterday was! 🍯🐝

When a beautiful local teacher asked if we'd share our knowledge with her class for their *Science in the Making* project, we couldn't say no.

Yesterday Chris spent the morning with the students, sharing all things bees and honey. The kids got to see real beekeeping equipment, learn how a smoker works, try fresh honeycomb straight from the hive, and even dress up in bee suits. Their curiosity, questions and excitement were amazing to see and what makes what we do matter!

It's such a privilege to help the next generation understand where their food comes from, why bees are so important to our environment, and the vital role beekeepers play in caring for them.

A huge thank you for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful project. We can't wait to see where the students take it next! 💛🐝🍯

A long one but some things need to be said...

This is a little snapshot about our journey when it comes to honey packing, the push for cheaper imported 'honey' and the role that each of us has to play to make a difference! Because we can, despite all the negativity out there!

Do you believe that all honey on the supermarket shelves should be 100% Australian?

Yes?!

Then let's only buy Australian, stop buying products that are imported, stop supplying the companies that put the industry at risk simply to increase their profit margins!

If a business imports when it is available in Australia, don't buy their products...find the brands doing the right thing! Support Aussie farmers and industries first!

It's not going to be easy, or a quick fix but I believe we all have a role to play! 🐝🍯🫶

These pallets of honey are heading to Woolworths after another 149 stores began stocking Adleys Honey just a few weeks ago.

Yesterday, so many of you found us after a conversation about supporting Australian food producers. We honestly didn't expect the response.

To everyone who commented, shared, followed us or has bought a jar of Adleys Honey over the years, thank you!

We're a small family business on the NSW South Coast, packing 100% Australian honey sourced from a small, select group of Australian beekeepers. Getting onto supermarket shelves wasn't easy! It took years of meetings in the big smoke (often with a baby in my arms), improving our products and believing that a regional family business deserved a place alongside the biggest brands.

If you're doing the grocery shopping this week, take a look along the honey aisle. Whether it's Adleys Honey or another Australian family-owned brand, every purchase helps keep local businesses and Australian beekeepers thriving...always buy 💯 Australian!

Is your honey rock solid? DON'T THROW IT AWAY!

As winter is well and truly here, your honey is most likely forming those beautiful crystals that little bit quicker! It isn't off...it actually means you have the real deal!

Now, personally it's my favourite way to eat honey. You get to layer it thicker on your toast and there is less sticky mess dripping.

But if you prefer your honey runny (especially when it is in a squeeze container) you can sit it outside in the sun for the day or stand it in a bowl of hot water, repeating the process whilst you turn or stir the honey occasionally as the crystals dissolve.

This morning we paused, like so many across the country, to stand in the quiet of the dawn and reflect.

On courage. On sacrifice. On the men and women who have given so much for the life we’re able to live today.

From the stillness of the service to the rising sun over the coast, it’s a reminder of what truly matters...community, resilience and gratitude.
