This special episode of AETA Talks brings together Dr Rory Nevard, Dr Ced Wise and Dr Stuart Geard to discuss the development of IVF in Australasia and what it takes to make it work under Australian commercial conditions.

For us at Murribrook, Rory’s involvement makes this episode particularly relevant.

Every IVF OPU donor collection at Murribrook is personally carried out by Rory Nevard from Livestock Veterinary Service, University of Sydney.

His role goes well beyond performing the collection itself. Rory understands the complete IVF process — from donor preparation and ovarian response, through the OPU procedure and oocyte recovery, to the factors that can influence embryo production.

The oocytes Rory collects at Murribrook are then sent to Boviteq Australia for IVF and embryo production.

The depth of knowledge, skill and judgement Rory brings to every collection day is central to the IVF program we offer our clients. We’re extremely fortunate to have him working alongside us and bringing that expertise to every donor entrusted to our care.

It is terrific to see Rory’s knowledge and firsthand experience of Australian IVF being shared with an international audience.
