A load of cr@$! Fresh moo poo from the paddock to start some poo soup for the garden. Mixed with some hay and w**d clippings, in a big bin of water, stirred not shaken when I think of it, to ferment. The ‘tea’ is a great fertiliser after a few weeks #

Experiment - coppicing the hazelnut .

We have a few hazelnut trees and I’ve chopped one right down to the base to provoke new straight branches to cut next winter for trellis stakes.

Keen to see how this traditional technique goes. Looks brutal but it’s about sustainable timber production in an orchard.

Theoretically I won’t have to buy native hardwood ones in future!

And I’ve found some pretty good straight ones for the raspberry patch
