Kooroomba has been created as a unique tourist destination, nestled in the Fassifern Valley at Mt Alford near Boonah, about 65 minutes from Brisbane and 1hr 45minutes from the Gold Coast.The property consists of a cellar door, restaurant and lavender shop which overlooks a six hectare vineyard and a breathtaking lavender field, with magnificent views of the Scenic Rim mountains. and Lavender Farm provides a southern France experience on the doorstep of Brisbane and is the perfect setting for a relaxing day away.Principals Bob and Marlene Carroll have invested $3 million into the development, which is seven years in the making. The award winning cellar door/restaurant complex is of a 5 star level and is a blend of rustic and contemporary architecture. The wine marketed from the cellar door is from grape grown on the property, which along with the Modern Australian cuisine served in the restaurant from local produce provides a unique regional wine and food experience. Kooroomba has a large variety of wines including Chardonnay, Verdelho Marsanne, Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot. The unusual Verdelho Marsanne blend has been served in Paris
and received high praise from the French people who tasted it. The lavender fields have a number of varieties of lavender
– English, French, Italian, New Zealand and Australian designed to provide flower most of the year.

Please note that the entire venue will be CLOSED to the public on
- Friday 31st July
- Saturday 1st August

To help make each couple’s day as special as possible, we kindly ask that you respect the Closed sign at the front gate and do not drive past it.
Google Maps will also show that we are closed on these days.

Sundays are always a great day to visit, and with the Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail in full swing, we're expecting an extra busy day!

My word… so many guests decided today was the perfect day to visit and enjoy our Lavender Cocktail! 💜🍸

There’s something pretty special about sipping a lavender cocktail while overlooking the vines and gardens, and today certainly proved that many of you agree.

This week we’re open 10am onwards-
🌿 Wednesday - WINE TASTINGS ONLY. We are fully booked with a special event and there will be no terrace food available today.
🌿 Thursday
🌿 Friday
🌿 Sunday

On Saturday, the venue will be exclusively booked for a lovely couple as they say “I do” surrounded by their nearest and dearest. 💜

We can’t wait to welcome everyone visiting throughout the week—whether it’s for lunch, a sneaky glass of wine, a wander through the lavender, or of course… another Lavender Cocktail!

Another week done and dusted… although with how green the grass is, there’s not much dust around! 😂

This week, hundreds more people have made a Kooroomba memory, and we love thinking about all the different ways those memories are created.

- A long lunch in the restaurant.
- An afternoon wander through the gardens that ends with a surprise proposal.
- A wedding planning meeting that, a few months later, becomes “I do.”
- Watching your kids run through the lavender rows before you all enjoy a scoop of lavender ice cream.

Every visit has its own story, and we’re so grateful to be part of so many special moments.

Next week is absolutely jam-packed with weddings, with even more unforgettable memories about to be made.

I wish I had more time to capture all the little moments at our annual Winter Harvest Dinner for Scenic Rim Eat Local Month but alas a hostesses job is rather busy.
