Because apparently looking at freshly baked homemade treats for more than 3 seconds is enough to convince your brain that you absolutely need one.

And honestly… who are we to argue with science? 😏🍰

🔥 ATTENTION ADELAIDE HILLS: THIS IS NOT A DRILL. 🔥

We have reached the point where the fridge is full, the kitchen is working overtime and Mamma is starting to look at the baking like it owes her money. 😂

So here’s your official warning:

If you’re South African, you’re NOT allowed to scroll past this. 🇿🇦
And if you’re NOT South African… well, you’re probably about to become an honorary one. 😂

Because somewhere between “I’m just having a look” and “I definitely don’t need anything” you’re going to see:

☕ BESKUIT — because apparently coffee tastes better when you have to dunk something in it
🥛 MELKTART — because self-control is overrated

🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We’ve received several serious complaints about our food.

Apparently…

The koeksisters keep disappearing.
The beskuit is causing excessive coffee consumption. ☕
The sourdough rarely survives until dinner. 🍞
And opening the fridge “just to check” the Peppermint Crisp Tart has become a full-time hobby. 😂

We investigated thoroughly.

Unfortunately, we found absolutely no reason to change anything. 🤷‍♀️🤣

So yes… we’ll continue baking.

Confession time... 😅

Every time we bake a fresh batch of rusks or pull a loaf of sourdough out of the oven, we tell ourselves:

"These are for customers."

Five minutes later...
"Well... we should probably quality test one."

Then another.

Then someone cuts "just a tiny slice" of the milk tart.

Running a food business is tough... purely for research purposes, of course. 😂

What's the one food in your house that has absolutely no self-control? Ours is definitely fresh sourdough with butter!

🌶️ Things are heating up... and we're not just talking about the oven! 🔥🍞

Fresh out of the oven, our newest sourdough has arrived – Jalapeño & Mozzarella.

A beautifully crusty loaf with gooey mozzarella and just enough jalapeño to add a gentle kick without stealing the show.

We think this one might become a favourite!
