The countdown is on to the The Royal Adelaide Show and that means it's also on to our newest release. Nothing says Dutch tradition like the decadent stroopwafel!

We went all out with these, we knew we had to get them right! So alongside our team of bakers, we trained with the esteemed vandeMeester Academy in Marknesse, Netherlands to make sure they're perfectly authentic with a little Frantic Whisk personality ✨

Crispy thin golden waffle, pressed and baked, then split open while still warm and filled with a ribbon of dark caramel syrup - that's a stroopwafel. The syrup, made from brown sugar, butter, and spice, gets sandwiched between the wafers and left to set just enough to hold its shape.

The real magic happens when you rest one over a hot cup of coffee or tea. The steam creeps up through the waffle grooves, softening the biscuit and loosening the caramel inside until the whole thing becomes warm, pliable and gooey at the center. That first bite gives way to a slow pull of syrup between the layers. It delivers an incredible hit of butterscotch warmth, toasted spice, and chew. Utterly moreish, surprisingly not sickly - the kind of treat where "just one" rarely holds.
