Mother’s Day. A very special day indeed 🫶🏼

A day we dedicate to the women in our lives who taught us the meaning of unconditional love. The real life superhero’s. The grandmothers, aunties, best friends and mother figures. You make the world go round and we are forever grateful for you all 🌍

We also understand that today can be a painful day for many. To those who find today difficult for whatever reason, we are wrapping our arms around you and sending extra love ❤️❤️❤️

Our cafe & market hall is open until 4pm today with fresh flowers, local artisanal choccy’s and plenty of gorgeous gift ideas for anyone who may have left it a little late… 🤫

It was on this very day, 10 years ago when we cut the ribbon and officially opened the doors to the Harvest the Fleurieu you know and love today 😍

For those who remember the early days, you know just how far we’ve come in the past decade and just like anyone running a small business (particularly in agriculture), we have certainly faced our share of challenges along the way 😅

But, they say nothing worth having comes easy and we’d say our successes far outweigh the failures and we are so proud of our journey so far 🍓

We’ve met some incredible people along the way, including members of our amazing community, customers who have become friends and staff who have become family 🥹

But believe us when we say we are just getting started, the next decade is shaping up to be even bigger and better and we can’t wait to take you all along for the ride 🙌🏼

So thank you to each and everyone of you who has supported us in any way, big or small, it’s all contributed to getting us to this milestone today and we will be forever grateful ❤️

Holy moly, how is it April already? 🐰

We are super excited to be trading everyday over the upcoming Easter long weekend and hope to see as many of you as possible out in the patch 🍓 or enjoying an ice cream in the cafe 🍦

However, we have noticed a bit of a drop in trade over the last few weeks and assume with the recent fuel prices that this isn’t going to change any time soon so we have decided to reduce our trading hours slightly and will be closing at 4pm going forward 😊

Today we celebrate the sweetest berry going around and all the goodness they bring 😍

Did you know…

🌟 strawberries contain more vitamin C (by weight) than the trusty orange 🍊

🌟 strawberries are part of the rose family 🌹

🌟 strawberries are the only fruit with their seeds on the outside 🤔

🌟 strawberries are associated with improved heart health and reduced inflammation 🫀

We could go on and on about the humble strawberry but we don’t reckon we need to convince you 👀

Our patch will be open this weekend for those who fancy picking their own sweet strawbs but for those wanting to stay dry, we have plenty of freshly packed punnets in our market hall as well as at Willunga Farmers Market tomorrow 👏🏼

Well, our dessert queen has gone and outdone herself with this naughty little number 🍰

It’s giving the nostalgia of a supermarket chocolate mud cake but fluffier, even more chocolatey and best of all.. completely gluten free (which cancels out all calories right?!)

This bad boy is available by the slice in our market hall this weekend or until sold out and will be available to purchase as a full cake on our website shortly. You know you’ll instantly earn the title of “favourite family member” when you bring this to the next family gathering 🤭

Happy Sunday Everyone ☀️

Hope you’ve all been managing to keep cool the last couple days in this heat 😅

Thankfully a bit cooler up here today so we are gearing up for a busy day with plenty of ripe strawberries to be picked 🍓

Due to the extreme heat forecast for tomorrow’s public holiday, we have made the decision to close for the day 🔥

However, our market hall & cafe will be open until 5pm today and the PYO patch until 4pm, so if you’re looking for a last hurrah activity for the kids before they head back to school on Tuesday, look no further 🙌🏼

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in fighting the current bushfires taking hold around Nangkita and surrounding areas.

We hope that the blaze is contained as soon as possible and that everyone remains safe.

We will be open from 8.30am tomorrow morning and would love to offer a free coffee to any emergency service volunteers involved as well as those directly affected.

Due to an unprecedented amount of visitors over the Christmas & New Year period, our patch had been picked out and so we have made the decision to close the patch today to allow for the fruit to ripen up for the weekend.

We are so very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we don’t want you guys to make the trip and be left disappointed with your experience.

Our market hall is open as usual until 5pm today and the shelves are full with our delicious strawberries to grab & go. As well as an abundance of our house made sweet treats, barista made coffee, fresh ice cream, hot bakery and plenty of local goodness 😍
