Kenilworth is situated approximately halfway between Charters Towers and Clermont and approx 38 kilometres off that highway towards Mt Coolon. The first two semi loads of brahman bulls purchased for Kenilworth came from Albert Smith (dec.) and Merv Kuhl “Glen Coe” (dec) in 1967. And in this shipment arrived our first polled bulls. As the years moved along, so too did the results of the polled bull
become obvious. There has not been a horned bull purchased or bred in our herd since 1969. Our ambition has always been to breed functional cattle that have a quiet temperament, be beefy types with good bone, length and muscling. The Kenilworth herd is consistently placed under pressure for performance, productivity and fertility. Every breeder must wean a calf each year. It has become an obsession of Kelvin and the team at Kenilworth to breed all these qualities into our Brahman herd. Visitors are always welcome to visit Kenilworth and Kenilworth Brahmans.
