A much needed top up of the Good Intentions Wine Co ‘Magnolia’ is in and thank goodness for that / A wonderful expression of Gewurtztraminer, showing a great acid line and pinky texture while holding back on the OTT perfume that Gewurtz can be known to have ~ perfect balance.

CHATEAU ACID / CENTRAL RANGES, NSW

We’re very pleased to have the new 2025 vintage from New South Wales’ beloved Château Acid in stock / For a young label, this feels like a genuine coming-of-age release: the wines retain the vibrancy, energy and individuality that have made Château Acid such a favourite, but with a newfound confidence, refinement and poise.

According to Charlie and Simon, the 2025 vintage is the best they’ve seen in their decade of making wine from this vineyard in Canowindra, NSW / A wet spring, dry summer and near-complete absence of disease meant that barely a spray was needed, resulting in fruit of remarkable purity, concentration and balance.

Across the lineup, Chardonnay, Vermentino, Rosé and Shiraz, the wines carry Château Acid’s signature energy and soft, ethereal texture, but with an added level of finesse and maturity / Don’t miss them this year; they represent some of the most exciting, distinctive and compelling wines being made in NSW today.

NOTE: Charlie will be on the road this week with our team in Sydney while Simon will be in the trade in Melbourne next Thursday the 11th of June, reach out to your sales rep if you would like to taste.

MCLAREN CAB / The 2023 Red Blend offers some of the most generous value at what is a remarkably sharp price points today, a highly pourable offering with immense farming pedigree behind it.

The 2023 vintage for Das Juice produced low yields with cool conditions that were conducive to producing high quality fruit with excellent flavour development / A third consecutive La Niña event produced the wettest year since 2011 and it was also Australia’s coolest year since 2012 / Persistent winter and spring rainfall across many South Australian vineyards made growing conditions challenging / The cool, wet conditions through spring and summer led to lower yields and longer ripening periods with wines sharper and fresher than the 2022 vintage.

THE WINE / 16% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Hickinbotham vineyard run by Yangarra in the
high part of Clarendon / 42% Merlot from Zerella and 42% Shiraz from the Aramis Vineyard / The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were both 100% whole bunch
carbonic for 12 days while the Shiraz was half direct pressed and half destemmed and on skins for a week / All combined once dry to tank to sit on full solids for 7
months.

Rocky clay loam as well as shallow clay over limestone soils in both organically run vineyards resulting in a distinctly sharp, fresh expression of Cabernet which we love.

ADA WINE CO. / A very fresh new cuvee from is releasing today, and it’s hot on the heels of some excellent reviews in the 2026 Halliday guide.

‘Miles’ is a blend of young Gamay from Forreston in the Adelaide Hills which has just come online after being planted in 2022 and is combined here with Pinot Noir from the same vineyard for some depth and structure. The resulting wine is a delightful light-bodied red that drinks well from the fridge or at the table, with Gamay’s trademark red fruits and a deeper pitch from the Pinot.

NEW PRODUCER: This week we welcome a new producer to the portfolio, though certainly some of you will be familiar with the wines of Claire and Fred Niger of Domaine de l’Ecu. Theirs is a pioneering organic and biodynamic estate, and one of arguably two or three benchmark producers of Muscadet, increasingly seen as a beacon for in-the-know drinking and remarkable value terroir-focused wines. We can’t think of many better ways to open a great meal than with a bottle of ‘Granite’, a life-affirming sip!

Offer is in trade inboxes now, get in touch with [email protected] for any enquiries.
