Important announcement

We are incredibly disappointed to let you know that Mt Wilson Road will only be available to local residents indefinitely from 8am Friday April 3rd due to safety concerns.

We have no other choice but to close our farm gate this Thursday at 4pm for the 2026 season. This situation is beyond our control. We apologise for the short notice and any disruption to your holiday plans.

It’s time to put gathering chestnuts and walnuts to the top of your bucket list. Kookootonga chestnuts are plentiful and excellent quality right now. A few walnuts have fallen and lots are in their green pods on the trees. Open 9-4 EVERY day until mid April. No entry fee no need to book

Get ready to enjoy the best of our harvest. Kookootonga is opening the farm gate on Saturday 8th March. From then we are open every day until mid April. There will be lots of quality chestnuts available from the 8th. The walnuts will still be mostly in their green pods until later in the season.
