It looks like real farming when you use the horses. 🐴 (and the dogs too!)

We have some new silage feeders! These advantage feeders are great for moving around paddocks where you don't have a roof to protect it. They also save a lot of silage waste that either gets too wet from the rain or too wet from the ground.
As you can see the ground is pretty muddy around the feeder, but because we continually shift it, it mimics high desnity grazing, promoting new grass growth after the pressure is taken off it. We also find it is pretty useful for trampling out sections of w**d!

We just had our stud cattle classified for 2026 and all 4 of our boys passed with flying colours! They are now up for sale, so if you are looking for a new Bull in the coming months please get in contact.
You may notice our bulls look a little slimmer than those at the big bull sales which require a weight of 800kg+. This is often not a healthy weight for a working bull and hence we refrain from over feeding them just to achieve a look.

It's almost been 6 years since we've owned Anvil Creek, and how far we have come! These are a few before and after's of the main sheds, cattle yards and Sheep Station shack.
When we arrived, the 2019 bushfires had just ripped through the place. Destroying all the fences, sheds and cattle yards. Now we have rebuilt 4 sheds, 3 cattle yards, 50+km of fencing and so much more. It is a joy to look back and see the progress we have made.

Today is day, a day to spark conversations about mental health and bullying. Life can be tough enough without someone beating you down for who you are, so be kind and reach out to your mates! We are all in this world together so let’s make it a nice place for everyone!

Wild cattle can be a problem for destroying fence lines, impregnating our cattle and also teaching them bad habits.

Buffalo Flies are a real problem for the cattle during the summer months, so we've been trying some different solutions to reduce the fly population.

We thought our teenage Bulls might want to join in on the Easter fun!
