Last weekend I headed out to Inglewood, with my 3 guys.
Flirty couldn't quite lift this week on hard to pick up sheep, she will bounce back.
Knox worked really well after an absoulte debacle last time out. Took seven and a half minutes to bring the sheep to me , but at the 15 min buzzer we found ourselves a few steps short of the pen.He stuck it out with me all the way was super happy with him.
Chip worked well , a couple of handler errors ended with us chasing sheep around and round the bridge.(sorry Chippo)
Was a good weekend even if it was super windy haha.

Shout out to Anthony with Collie Creeks Flek , for winning the Novice this week. Well done mate you've got that pup running awesome 👌

Last weekend saw me head solo to the Dalby show trial.
Sheep were tuff but workable .
Old Flirty worked well but was found out for pace so we retired at the gap.
Wilson got a little fizzy so I retired him early.
Knox played up but we tuffed it out and got all the way to the pen but timed out.
Chip worked hard in the round and made it into the 7 dog improver final in last place.
Final run really didn't go our way on some really runny sheep but she stuck it out with me all the way around and shut the gate.
We manage a 5th place , to bring a little something home.
Great weekend with the dogs friends and a bit of rodeo.
(Didn't take a photo so stole one)

Great couple of days out at Toowoomba Royal Show.
Millie had some great runs with Flirty. A 93 in novice and an 86 in the open. Neither of which were near final worthy score but great runs nonetheless.
Mabel's novice run was a bit messy but first time they shut the gate. Up n up from here for Millie's little Mabel girl.
Kia Ora ran a solid 86 in the open which again not a fabulous score for this weekend but she ran well after a much needed 6 month break.
Murphy continues to come back better and better after a long shelf break too....slowly but surely.

I ran Wilson in the improver and novice 2 very good solid runs with pens in both not quite enough for finals but I was very pleased with him.
Good run from chip unfortunately a couple of handler errors which ended at the pen but no cigar. Knox ran well in the Open I retired with him and 3 sheep facing him on the top of the bridge ,helped him get the win but was super happy he never took a backwards step.

Shout out to Anthony for his fantastic 5 placings over the 4 finals. 1st in the open 3rd in Improver and 5th in the encourage with Sonny. His kid did just as well with a tied win in the encourage and third in the novice with Collie Creek Flek.
Great job mate both dogs are working beautifully for you.

Well what a couple of weeks its been for the Collie Creek crew. We (minus Parso and a few dogs) set off to Hall ACT for the Australian National Sheepdog Championships. It was a great trip, albeit long, learned a heap, met a heap and chatted to a heap. Doggos did well but we didn't bother the scoreboard. Then at the completion of that we headed to Molong for the NSW Championships. Murphy landed a spot in the top 20 but the bell rang while we were shutting the pen for his final run. He did such a great job, even if some people called him a Labrador......🙄🙄
Flirty managed to snag 5th in the novice and ran a couple of beautiful runs. Mabel did an amazing job in the small novice ring, I'm so proud of her.
Then homeward bound on Sunday, we made it safe n sound. Would just like to say a couple of MASSIVE thank you's. The first being to Jackie Cantrall and Jon Cantrall from Wongaburra working dogs for the new wuppo and allowing me into their beautiful home. Thank you so so much. You're both so kind and it was really appreciated.
Next Bawwy.... Barry Knight from Knights Working Border Collies ..... wow....thank you will never cut it....even if you did drive me to drink hahaha. Massive gratitude and love from all here at Collie Creek.
Now ..... back to the training paddock for the Toowoomba show this weekend. Peace out kids....and remember... Don't get bitter....get better ✌️
