CHAMPION EWES - UP-FOR-GRABS NEXT THURSDAY!

It wasn’t just the rams making headlines at Adelaide — Ardene’s ewe lineup also stood tall.

Lot 91 was awarded Champion Ewe, with Lot 93 named Reserve Champion Ewe. Judge Steve Pederick called them “a great pair of ewes with exceptional depth”, adding that it’s rare to see such quality paired together in the same class.

The Champion ewe (April 2024-drop, tag 240015) weighed 75.5kg, with a fat depth of 7.5mm and an eye muscle depth of 36.5mm. Backed by consistent breeding, these females show the kind of fertility and resilience the Hodgson family has built their program around for over a decade.

Lots 91–95 (shown in video) represent the top of our ewe offering this year - elite females that combine show-winning structure with the performance-driven traits Ardene is known for.
