The wait is over…. Our very first litter of purebred Large Whites has been born @ Wilgavale, first time mumma Punjab Ameli, aka Rhonda did an amazing job farrowing unassisted on one of the hottest days so far this season! Birthing 9 of the cutest little bacon seeds you ever did see, all are thriving and have now transitioned to one of our “family paddocks” let the paddock zoomies begin!

***EDIT*** well today was Truman’s lucky day he was picked up at the sale by another breeder in need of a bigger boar and is off to meet some new ladies 🎉🐷

It’s a sad day for the Wilgavale family, big Truman’s number has come up. He has served his term as an absolute gentleman everyday and we are forever grateful 🫶🏼🐷

Good old Charlotte is a pro at this gig, she farrows like a dream every time, honestly I think she just loves all the extra pampering she gets when she’s got babies 🥰

14 live babies for our beautiful Hampshire sow Tulip tonight and a nice even split of 7M & 7F
She is such a good girl, was waiting at her pen/paddock gate ready to come inside to the “maternity suite” this afternoon. She promptly lay down and started unloading her cargo, bless her she farrows like a dream every time and is just the most patient mumma 💪🥰
