We’re bringing together three passionate and straight-talking grain advocates for a cracking session on the future of cropping in northern Australia — from succession and scale, to tech, community, and paddock challenges.
🔸 Facilitator – Ruth Thompson
From agronomy boots to ag policy, Ruth brings deep industry know-how and sharp perspective as Policy Director at AgForce. She’ll steer this lively panel with purpose and punch.
🔸 Scott Loughnan (Lougho)
Dryland cropping legend out west in Muckadilla, Lougho traded a career in agronomy (and water ski racing!) for broadacre farming with his young family. He’s also a key voice on the AgForce Grains Board.
🔸 Scott Muller
A 4th gen farmer from Biloela with a love for grain, cotton, cattle — and Slim Dusty. Scott’s tech-forward and people-focused, hosting students and mentoring the next wave of ag leaders. He also “accidentally” became VP of the AgForce Grains Board.
💬 Together, the two Scotts bring serious insight and serious bromance — a combo sure to bring both depth and humour to the conversation.
