Yes it IS a real thing, and I seriously doubt it's referring to roads that are rocky 🗻

alt text: A playful World Rocky Road Day video opens on aerial footage of the green hills and winding roads around Mudgee, with text reading “how Mudgee is celebrating World Rocky Road Day”. It cuts to small clips of cars driving along rough, rocky tracks before a pink “WAIT!” message appears with the caption “Not that kind of rocky road!!” The video then switches to a styled outdoor product shot featuring Pebbly Path rocky road pieces stacked on a cake stand beside pink product boxes, with text saying “actually, in Mudgee it’s more like a Pebbly Path”.

Crisp mornings.
Farmers markets.
Kids riding their bikes, spotting platypus.
Red wine by an open fire.
A “quick look” in a local shop that somehow becomes 45 minutes.
Someone asking, “Should we get snacks for the drive home?” like that was ever optional.

Mudgee June long weekend is calling.

If you’re searching for what’s on in Mudgee this June long weekend, Mudgee markets, best places to visit in Mudgee with kids, family-friendly wineries in Mudgee, or where to eat in Mudgee over the King’s Birthday weekend, I’ve pulled together a little local guide for you.

Including:

Saturday: Anglican Church Markets at St John’s Anglican Church
Sunday: Mudgee Makers’ Markets at Robertson Park
Family-friendly walks like Putta Bucca Wetlands and Ferntree Gully
Wineries with room for kids to exist loudly
Live music, food, markets, cellar doors and all the cosy winter Mudgee things

And yes - Pebbly Path will be at the markets Saturday AND Sunday with handmade Mudgee rocky road for your long-weekend snack stash 🍫💨

Plus, if you miss us there, you can still find us around town at & at the Mudgee Visitor Information Centre 📍

So if this IS your vibe…

All the best places to visit are on the blog - link in bio.

Okay so this happened like… 2 weeks ago 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

One of my business heroes and all-round funny human happened to be in Mudgee for personal/non-biz-related stuff and randomly came past our stall at the Mudgee Markets.

Naturally, Maddy got a photo (gen Alpha legends)
Naturally, I immediately started mentally drafting a caption that would somehow be witty enough to impress someone whose content I’ve followed for years.

And naturally… ADHD took the wheel.

So instead of just posting the damn thing, I:

• decided the caption needed to be PERFECT
put off writing it until my brain “found the angle”
• didn’t want to interrupt her sister’s birthday weekend with a tagged post
• waited for the perfect time to upload it
• never found the perfect time
and now here we are 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve definitely missed the moment now… but hopefully her memories of the rocky road last forever 🍫

(Also shoutout to for staying significantly cooler than I would have in this situation.)

Just as I pulled up to the UNSW carpark on Friday for the Foodpreneurs Festival, I glanced across the street. Directly adjacent is the Prince of Wales Hospital.

And it occurred to me, the last time I was in this area was circa 2007... a paramedics student, on prac with a crew, sitting with my patient, in bed block in the Prince Of Wales ED.

Who could have predicted the next time I'd drive down this street, I'd be the founder of a rocky road company, on her way to the Chelsea Ford Foodpreneurs Festival.

Life is weird, but I'm here for it.

The day itself was brilliant.
JP from ran two sessions on his '4 Things You Can't F*ck Up' in a food business (where the hell were you when I started this journey?!). He was so good, I've already booked into 2 more of his webinars this week.

I finally met Jason from IRL after months of LinkedIn chatting.

I watched win her investor pitch for her wellness brand (we were in 's coaching program together this year - so proud & happy for her).

I finally met Chris from Melissa Confectionery in person - the family behind our incredible Turkish delight, and genuinely lovely human.

And I got a proper chat with fellow artisan chocolatier Yasmin from Pea & Poppy - who I feel like I've known for AGES but mostly as instagram-friends... but as someone who knows exactly what I'm going through, it was so nice to finally chat with her about business & life & the struggles of having your business literally in your backyard!!!

My brain is SO full of new ideas and information, I am still writing it all down, but I'm grateful to be able to attend these things to network and learn and just be a little sponge 🧽

A full circle moment it certainly was, but I'm so glad to be on this 'rocky road' nowadays (sorrynotsorry) - out of the scrubs and into the melted chocolate 😂

We're at the Mudgee Anglican Church Market this Saturday - with the things everyone asked us for after last weekend. 🍫

Raspberry Roundabout made its first appearance at the markets last week and somehow disappeared almost as quickly. White chocolate, freeze dried raspberries, whole almonds, peanuts, coconut, and biscuit chunks. Tastes like a raspberry white chocolate cheesecake. We’ve made another small batch for this Saturday, but once it’s gone, it’s gone.

And yes, the Hot Chocolate Pops are back! ☕
Made for slow sips and warm fuzzies. Each pop comes loaded with our signature chocolate blend, sprinkles, and soft squishy marshmallows ready to melt into your favourite mug of warm milk.

Of course, our full range will be there too. Come find us Saturday morning at the Anglican Church grounds in Mudgee before the good stuff disappears again.
