We currently have an established fig orchard managed organically, a small alpaca stud(Shining Light Alpaca Stud), which produce very fine and soft fibre, and with their soft padded feet tread gently on our fragile landscape. A small flock of free range chickens, which produce fresh tasty eggs, and scratch around under the fruit orchard cleaning up the unwanted pests and bugs, leaving a lovely ric
h fertiliser for the fruit trees. Our jams and preserves made from our fruit trees have a very distinct and fruity flavour. We have farm stay experiences which now attract overseas visitors where they can experience all aspects of our farm life living with and being part of our family. we have a constant stream of back packers from various parts of the world and Australia too, coming to learn about our farming methods and many then qualify for a second year working holiday visa. Our farm is fully solar powered, and water self sufficient, though we do have a drinkable bore for really dry times.
