We had another great catch-up at Read Between the W**es last week 📚🍷. A big thanks to The Book Nest Mudgee and everyone who came along.

We’ve locked in our next date, so for those keen to get a head start on the reading, here’s what’s on the list:

📚Exit Party by Emily St. John Mandel
📚People Skills by Nina Kenwood

Next catch-up: Thursday 14 January, from 5:30pm at Yeates W**es.

Grab your books online or pop into The Book Nest Mudgee. Mention our ‘Read Between the W**es’ book club and they’ll knock 10% off your books.

As always, read one line or two whole books. Everyone’s welcome, entry is free, and there’ll be plenty of w**e and bar snacks available to purchase on the evening.

See you in January! 🥂

SUNDOWNERS ARE BACK 🕺🏻☀️🍷

We’re bringing Sundowners back from November through to March, on the third Friday of every month 5-8pm (ish).

Settle in for a few laidback sundowners as we swap cellar door for w**e bar - with drinks, delicious food, good company and serene sunset views over the vines. Just the spot to relax into the weekend.

We’ll be welcoming a different guest chef each month this year, kicking things off with the ever-popular Alejandro’s Authentic Italian Italian Food Truck on Friday 20th November. As an added bonus, they’ll be sticking around for the entire weekend! 🇮🇹

Keep an eye out for more guest chef announcements, but for now, mark your diaries for Friday 20th November.

Entry is free, walk-ins welcome and seating is first come, first served. Bookings are highly recommended for catering and staffing purposes.

Bring a few friends, grab a glass and settle in. 🥂

We’re a tad excited to share that our 2026 Albariño has taken home the trophy for Best Dry White Table W**e (Other Varieties) at the recent NSW Small W**emakers W**e Show 🏆.

A big congratulations to fellow Mudgee trophy winners Bunnamagoo Estate W**es and our neighbours at Heslop W**es W**es too - lovely to be in such good local company.

It’s a beautiful day to pop out, try some w**es and settle in for a glass ☀️.

A little reminder for our book-loving, w**e-drinking friends! 📚🍷

Our next Read Between the W**es book club is happening this coming Thursday 15th October from 5:30pm here at Yeates.

Members should have received an email with all the details, but if you’re only just hearing about it, there’s still time for a little binge reading. And if you only manage a chapter or two, that’s perfectly fine too!

This month’s reads are:
📖 ‘Yesteryear’ by Caro Claire Burke
📖 ‘The Name of the Sister’ by Gail Jones

Our lovely friends from Mudgee’s Book Nest will be back to keep the conversation (loosely) on track.

Still need the books? Pop into the The Book Nest Mudgee and mention our club for 10% off. They’ve also put together a beautiful window display celebrating Mudgee’s W**e & Food Month, pictured here. ❤️

Expect a relaxed few hours of w**e, books, good conversation and new friends. Light bites and drinks will be available to purchase.

New faces are always welcome. See you Thursday! 🥂

Italian food, Yeates w**e + spring sunshine. 👌🏼

Alejandro’s Authentic Italian is back at the cellar door for a couple of weekends — Sat 19 & Sun 20th September, then again for the long weekend, Sat 3 + Sun 4 October, bringing a little taste of Italy to Mudgee and serving up their seriously good Italian fare from 11am. 🇮🇹

Pair it with our newly released 2026 Rosé, or work your way through a few of our newly award-winning w**es — there’s been a little bit to celebrate around here lately. 🏆

With Mudgee W**e + Food Festival in full swing and the spring weather looking pretty lovely, there’s no better excuse to get out, explore the region and settle in at the cellar door for a long, lazy lunch.

Bookings are highly recommended as seating is limited and those booked will take priority.

A little heads up: our usual cellar door food menu won’t be available while the food truck is here — Alejandro’s has lunch well and truly covered.

Italian food, Yeates w**e + spring sunshine. 👌🏼

Alejandro’s Authentic Italian is back at the cellar door for a couple of weekends — 18 + 19 September, then again for the long weekend, 3 + 4 October, bringing a little taste of Italy to Mudgee and serving up their seriously good Italian fare from 11am. 🇮🇹

September is officially here, which means Mudgee W**e + Food Festival by Mudgee W**e Association is now underway. 🍷

First up is Go Tasting this Friday — with the Mudgee W**e Show judging wrapping up this week you’ll get to try more than 200 Mudgee w**es under one roof. Taste your way around the region, meet the makers and get in early to take home a case (or two) of award-winning Mudgee w**es at Dan Murphy’s pricing.

Then there’s something brand new this year: The Sustainable Table. A long-table dinner at Logan W**es W**es bringing together six local Sustainable W**e Australia producers, a three-course menu by Rebecca Sutton and matched Mudgee w**es. We’re pretty excited to be part of this one — a new addition to the Festival calendar and a very good excuse for dinner somewhere special. Saturday 12 September, $145pp.

Twilight Tasting is on Friday 11 & 18 September, right in the centre of town at St Johns Church Grounds. Fresh out of the car? You can pretty much jump straight into w**e tasting. Grab a glass, discover a few local producers and have a pre-dinner drink before exploring Mudgee’s nearby food scene (You can pick up the car in the morning).

And of course, it all builds to the big one — Flavours of Mudgee on Saturday 26 September. The headline event of the Festival and one of the best nights of the year in Mudgee, with the town centre taken over by local w**e, food and producers. Head to Flavours of Mudgee for tickets.

Plenty happening in Mudgee this September. Come & enjoy it with us 🍷
