Sedona Estate Nestled in the rolling hills of Murrindindi near Yea, Sedona Estate is a boutique winery producing cool-climate wines of impeccable quality.

Established in 1998, owners Paul and Sonja focus on classic French varieties and rare red wines. Nestled in the rolling hills of Murrindindi just north of the Great Dividing Range, Sedona Estate has been built from the ground up by owners Paul Evans and Sonja Herges. From its humble beginnings in 1998, Paul and Sonja’s vision has been to produce regionally distinctive wines of impeccable quality.

The first vintage from 2003 laid a strong foundation for the young wine brand; the wines delivered complexity and pure varietal flavours. In 2011, Paul and Sonja stepped away from their careers to focus entirely on their wine business. As early pioneers in the region, they planted the Italian variety Sangiovese; its continuous success has seen a recent vineyard expansion of Sangiovese to the north facing hillside block and new plantings of the old French variety Carménère. First commercial crops are eagerly awaited!

Good morning to the long weekend!! In the search for an image of the cellar door fireplace (which is going to roar today!), I found this oldie from 2018 😊. Winter is a great excuse (if you need one 😉) to enjoy good reds in front of the fireplace. Treat yourself to something special and try the Sedona Estate award-winning wines. In the past 10 years Sedona Estate has quietly built a reputation that stretches far beyond the region. We are chuffed to share that most recently, Sedona Estate was recognised on the global stage at the 2026 London Wine Competition, taking home Gold for its 2021 Reserve Merlot and Silver for the 2022 Reserve Shiraz!! It’s rare to get a Gold Award for a varietal Merlot. You can enjoy this wine and in Healesville. Drop in the cellar door to top up on our award-winning reds.

We sacrifice and love unconditionally to raise our children. This was our star picking crew on our last harvest day last Monday. A big thank you to and for their stellar help picking our Carmenere 🍇 🥰. We finished the day with a well-deserved wine lunch on the terrace. Note: our Border Collie was so tired, she didn’t even get up for the photo (left hand corner) 😂🐾
