Did you guess which was the new wine on the earlier post? Yes, it's the 2022 Cabernet Shiraz, a red blend not seen since 2013!

What did the critics say about the 2013?

2013 Vintage Tasted: Apr 2016 James Suckling says "I like what shiraz brings to the table here, fleshing out the cabernet to add a more complete palate, adding plums to the leafy cassis characters of cabernet and bringing overall balance to the table."

Ken's tasting notes says the 2013 will cellar beautifully until 2030, maybe it's time to bring a bottle out for a comparison tasting 🍷🤔

Mike Bennie from The Wine Front has given it a 92 so we think this red blend needs to be on your winter tables, now, don't you?

And just like, we’re back open again. Reopening for the Kings Birthday long weekend, Friday to Monday 10am to 4pm, it’s looking like a cool but sunny weekend ahead for us. Which means, it’s perfect wine drinking weather.

A very special wine opened for a very special birthday. The Helm Wines 1986 Cabernet Sauvignon is looking amazing for a 40 year old and there’s no better time than on 40th birthday to test out how well a Canberra cab sauv can age 🍷 Happy birthday 🎂
