Barton Estate is a family owned producer of premium cool climate Canberra District wines from estate grown fruit. The 20 acre vineyard, established in 1997, is located approximately 25 km from Canberra on the Barton Highway between Hall and Murrumbateman. Barton Estate vineyard is nestled among yellow box woodlands on the sunny north facing slopes of the historic Jeir valley. Our grape varieties w

ere chosen to take advantage of this unique environment of the Canberra cool climate wine producing region. Our award winning wines include Petit verdot, Shiraz, Sangiovese, a Cabernet blend comprising all five of the great grape varieties of Bordeaux, a trophy winning dry Riesling, a late pick dessert Riesling, Sauvignon blanc Semillon and a sparkling Blanc de blanc. Our passion is to bring together the science of viticulture and winemaking with the art and mystique which surrounds a truly great wine.
