Did you know that Cumquat Marmalade is one of our top sellers?

It’s tangy, citrusy and syrupy, with just a hint of delicious bitterness. And look at that glorious colour!

We will have some of our freshly made Cumquat Marmalade at the Murrumbateman Village Market this Saturday - make sure you buy a few, because one jar is never enough.

20 July 2026 - Glitch

Today’s word is Glitch.

This bag was a bit of a glitch.

I absolutely loved the purple and black colour combination, but I chose the wrong stabiliser for the satin fabric. Instead of looking smooth and elegant, it ended up looking crumpled.

I took it to a few markets, hoping I’d learn to love it… but I didn’t.

So I unpicked it.

Not because it was a failure, but because it taught me something. Every project teaches me a little more about which fabrics, stabilisers and combinations work together.

Sometimes a glitch isn’t the end of a project. It’s just part of the learning process.

This one will be remade—and I already know it’ll be better the second time around.

19 July 2026 - Static

Today’s word is Static.

Someone in my sewing room is definitely static…

🐶 My sewing supervisor!

Me? Not so much.

While he’s perfectly happy to stay in one spot, I’m constantly up and down changing thread, reaching for rulers, cutting fabric, pressing seams, trying different hardware… and searching for the scissors I just put down!

People often imagine sewing as quietly sitting behind a machine, but making a handmade bag involves a lot more movement than you’d think.

Now if only my supervisor would fetch the tools I keep dropping… 😂

15 July - Mend

Today’s word is Mend.

Instead of thinking about repairing something, I decided to make my own meaning…

Making
Everyday
New
Dreams

Every bag starts as a pile of fabric, hardware and ideas. With every project I learn something new, try a different combination, or create something that didn’t exist before.

Maybe that’s my version of mending… creating something new, one stitch at a time.
