Happy Father’s Day!

Hope all the dads had a good day out with the kids.

Rocky the goat certainly did. He took the kids out for an outing around the farm.

My dad is off fishing and camping, so he’s as happy as a pig in mud.

I’m back from holidays and had the honour of feeding Drea her milk.

Much like a tropical storm, Drea arrived with enthusiasm and left widespread devastation in her wake.

Welcome home, I guess 🥴😜

Hope everyone’s having a chill week. Some of us are taking that more seriously than others.

Clearly I’ve been gone too long. I leave the farm for a few days and we get another Maine C**n!

In honour of Mayhem and our dearly departed Havoc, meet Chaos.

I haven’t even met the little man yet and some of our visitors are going to beat me to it!

He’s going to be a big boy too. Look at those paws!

Oh look, I found some really big chickens.

Drea has been here five minutes and already has the staff fully trained.

Belly scratches. Immediately, human.

Lovely group this morning! 😃

I told you the farm wouldn’t slow down just because I went on holidays…

Meet Drea, the newest tiny addition to Hectic Valley Farm.

We think this little girl is only a couple of weeks old. She was found wandering in the city and, after no owner could be found, has somehow made her way to us. We’re getting quite the collection of city farm animal rescues!

She’s been named Drea after one of our favourite people, who helped rescue her and get her safely to us.

Apparently she loves her milk, is already VERY sassy and opinionated, absolutely adores cuddles and will not stop yelling until she gets her way.

So of course, we love her to bits already.

A huge thank you to the Attrees for taking such wonderful care of her and getting her safely to the farm while I’m away.

I suppose I’d better stop going on holidays before I come home to an entirely different farm.

Going on a holiday for the first time in… I don’t actually know how long!

Alright, there might be a little bit of business research thrown in there too, but it still counts as a holiday, right?

The farm will continue to run as normal without me. Who knew!

Animal feeding, camping, poultry orders and everything else will carry on as usual. Messages and emails may just take me a little longer to get back to, so please bear with me.

After spending the last two days running around like a mad thing getting everything organised, we’re finally off!

Who knew going on holiday was so stressful?
