Situated on the Great Alpine Road in Myrtleford in the Alpine Valley region of North East Victoria, is the magnificent Michelini Wines Cellar Door, built in the style of a traditional Italian villa. 🌱 Two vineyards in our beautiful region. Two very different stages of spring.

Today’s snapshots from our King Valley & Buckland Valley vineyards (just 102km apart but even less as the crow flies) show just how much a little distance can make.

📍 King Valley: The vines are waking up, with fresh green leaves unfurling and spring growth well underway.

📍 Buckland Valley: A little further along the road, the vines are still at the early bud burst stage, with tiny buds just beginning to emerge.

Same spring sunshine, but different microclimates, elevations and growing conditions all playing their part. 🍃

It’s one of the cool things about growing grapes in our region 🍇 every vineyard has its own rhythm, and no two seasons are quite the same!!

A huge thank you to the team at Brown’s for recognising the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.

There’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears that goes into growing great fruit - from long days in the vineyard to the work that often goes unseen. Recognition like this is never expected, but it is always incredibly appreciated.
