Today, with heavy hearts, we share the passing of a remarkable woman and much-loved matriarch of our Tahbilk family.

Bonnie Purbrick, mum of Alister, Debbie & Mark Purbrick, passed away peacefully over the weekend.

While we are deeply saddened by her passing, we are also incredibly grateful for the extraordinary life she lived. At 97 years of age, she was a strong, independent, passionate and inspiring woman whose influence will continue to be felt by all who knew and loved her.

We invite family, friends and all those whose lives were touched by Bonnie to join us in celebrating her remarkable life on Wednesday 24th June:

• 11:00am – Service at the Nagambie Presbyterian Church

• 12:15pm – Burial at Nagambie Cemetery

• 1:00pm – Wake at the Tahbilk Estate Restaurant

The wake will be a time to come together in Bonnie's honour, sharing stories and treasured memories. It is an opportunity to reflect on the lasting impact she had on so many and to farewell her in a manner worthy of the extraordinary woman she was.

For those who would like to attend the service but are unable to travel to Nagambie, a live stream will be available. Details will be shared via our website in the coming week.

Bonnie's life was filled with love, resilience, achievements, challenges, laughter and purpose. She embraced life with enthusiasm and determination, leaving behind a legacy that will endure through her family, friends and community.

❤️ In loving memory.

For generations, caring for this land has been part of the story.

Beyond the vineyards, Tahbilk’s wetlands provide an important natural habitat for native birdlife, biodiversity, and the broader ecosystem that surrounds the estate.

These landscapes are more than scenery - they are living environments that have shaped the character of Tahbilk for generations.

Preserving them is part of our responsibility to the future.

Cooler days call for slower moments.

Rich, savoury dishes. A glass of Shiraz beside the fire. Long lunches that stretch into the afternoon.

Tahbilk Shiraz comes into its own in winter — generous, layered, and beautifully suited to the comforting flavours of the season.

Some vines witness seasons.
Others witness generations.

Planted in 1927, Tahbilk’s original Marsanne vines have spent nearly a century rooted beside the Nagambie Lakes, quietly shaping one of Australia’s most iconic white wines.

Today, they remain among the oldest productive Marsanne vines in the world — part of the largest single holding of Marsanne globally.

Through changing vintages, changing hands, and changing times, these vines continue to produce wines celebrated for their longevity, character, and unmistakable sense of place.

A living piece of Australian wine history, still growing forward.
