The Nagambie wine region lost one of its most enduring figures this week.

Bonnie Purbrick was 97 years old and spent a lifetime woven into the fabric of the Nagambie region, As matriarch of the Tahbilk family, she helped shape not just a winery, but the character of an entire region. Her influence runs through the vines, the community, and the generations that followed her.

To our neighbours at Tahbilk, Alister, Debbie, Mark, and the wider Purbrick family, please know that our thoughts are with you. The Mitchelton team holds deep respect for what Bonnie built, and the legacy she leaves behind in this valley we are proud to share.

She will be remembered here, too.

diagnosed every day. There's no cure.

campaign funding the research that will change that.
